When ABTC performs a chassis or wheelbase modification, we always aim to comply with and maintain the manufacturer's original specifications and appearance. The options available for us to alter a wheelbase vary depending on the individual truck. First we will assess if a roll forward or roll back with Rear Overhang (ROH) extension or trim. If this is not attainable we will cut the main chassis. Common chassis modifications include: shortening, lengthening, docking, rolling axles back and reinforcing diff housing.
With any chassis modification, ABTC also provides an engineering certificate to attest that the work is compliant with regulations.
